What it Means to be a Host Family

When you become a billet, you’re welcoming a player into your family for the hockey season. Because many of our players are away from home for the first time, and often arriving from other countries, providing a warm, supportive environment is incredibly important. Host families offer a private room, nutritious meals, and a hand with transportation to the rink. To help offset the cost of groceries, the player’s family pays their host a $500 monthly stipend. Most importantly, you become a crucial part of our players’ success both on and off the ice.
